Biddeford won 3-2

Biddeford scored both first half goals on penalty corners. The first (23:40) was a beautiful play: Megan Mourmouras passed to Abby Allen and Jayme Walton tipped it in high just out of the reach of Mustangs goalie Julia Gregoire. The second went from Jill McSourley to Anna Lavigne at 9:59. The teams played the rest of the half scoreless, with Biddeford taking a 2-0 lead into halftime.

The Mustangs showed their true colors in the second half scoring off their own corner when Camryn Champlin assisted Izzy Hurlburt at 22:22, then nine minutes later Mary Duffy assisted Anna Snyder to knot the game at 2 all. Massabesic had an opportunity to take the lead on a penalty stroke a few minutes later, but Tiger goalie Abby Nadeau turned away the flick to preserve the score. At 9:15 Brooklyn Goff assisted Carley Lovejoy as the Biddeford team netted the game winner.

It was a great game...the fan base that followed the Mustangs to Waterhouse field almost made it feel like a home game for the Mustangs, now 11-1.

This Thursday the seniors play their last home regular season game, as Massabesic hosts Sanford for their Breast Cancer Awareness, Homecoming, Senior Game. JV play at 5, with the varsity to follow at 6:30.
