Dear Parent/Guardians,

Routine well-child visits and vaccinations are an essential health service and can currently be scheduled to get your child ready for school in the fall.  In addition, Public Health Nursing will be offering vaccine clinics at several DHHS District Offices starting at the end of July.

Immunization requirements in effect will not be suspended due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Please ensure your child's health and safety by making sure they are up to date on their immunizations before the new school year.

Please be aware that the Maine Department of Education has mandated that all school districts will enforce current regulations concerning student vaccinations.  Therefore if your child is not current with their vaccinations they will not be allowed to enter school until the school district receives documentation of compliance with current regulations.

Please contact your school nurse with any questions.

Sincerely,

RSU #57 School Nurses
