4 days until the Halloween Carnival at MMS! It's a free, family event for kids of all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult to attend, so we hope to see the whole family.

Maine’s Student Mock Election is democracy in action at MMS today. Thank you to our student poll volunteers and to Ms. Lucas for organizing this fun event.

MMS Drama students who are currently involved in The Wacky Horror Cyber Show enjoyed a trip to see The Addams Family at Schoolhouse Arts Center in Standish on Sunday. They had a spooky, kooky, and all together ooky time!

MMS Winter sports info is out! Sign up now for middle school basketball or winter cheering.

MMS Drama Club has plenty of Tricks up their sleeve for the Family Halloween Carnival on the 29th...and hopefully lots of treats too! We're buying a whole bunch of treats but we're also seeking donations of bags of unopened Halloween candy. Want to volunteer? We'd love that too!

Save the date for the first annual MMS Halloween Carnival!

MMS welcomed Addison Palmitessa and Sean Perkins of Waterboro Fire and Rescue to school today for day one of our 6th grade Health classes’ public health and safety week. Students toured the interior and exterior of ambulance and learned about 9-1-1 awareness and first aid tips. Thank you to health teacher Mrs. Mariello and to our Waterboro partners for a memorable learning experience!

MMS Student Council members planted and decorated around our school signs yesterday. They look fantastic, thank you! Thanks also to the RSU 57 Operations Department for funding the materials.

Service Member Recognition Night
Tonight the Massabesic High School Football team will be hosting South Portland at 7pm. Our team will be wearing jerseys provided by the National Guard as a gesture, honoring those who have served locally and beyond. The National Guard provides these jerseys weekly to schools in Maine, free of charge, as a part of their efforts to recognize and honor our service members past and present. As a part of this evening's events we will be doing a collection in support of the Wounded Warrior Project. Spectators will have the opportunity to donate to this cause at the ticket booths upon entry to the game.
We thank you for your continued support of our teams and hope you enjoy the game!
Go Mustangs!

Check out a free opportunity from the Parsons Memorial Library in Alfred!

Reminder. All parking for tomorrows 7pm Varsity Football game vs Deering will be in the MHS teacher and students lots. Cars will not be allowed to park at the stadium. There is handicapped parking available at the stadium as needed. There have been lines at the South (school side) gate so we recommend arriving 15 min before kick off so as not to miss any of the action.
We thank you for your support! Go Mustangs!

Congratulations to MMS GT PACE 6th grader, Ben Stevens, who has participated in multiple competitions this school year for International Academic Competitions (IAC) and is now qualified to move forward and compete in the International Championship Geography Bee. The competition is scheduled to run July 3-10 in Burlington, Vermont. This Bee is an in-person buzzer-based geography quiz competition for individual students throughout the USA and the highest level of the competitions for this year.
Way to go, Ben!

Some special soon-to-be graduates swung by MMS to surprise their middle school teachers after visiting WES today. You may not be able to tell it from the photos, but that’s a whole hallway AND an entire cafeteria bursting into impromptu applause upon their entrance! 👏🎓💚

We had a blast welcoming the 5th graders from Alfred, Lyman, and Line Elementary Schools yesterday. We can't wait to have you join MMS next year!
