On October 9th the USDA announced the extension of free meals to all children 18 and under through the end of the 2020-2021 school year!
Free meals consist of breakfast and lunch and must be a complete reimbursable meal in order to meet federal guidelines. Enrolled, in-person learners may receive free meals while attending school in-person. Remote learners, home schooled children, and any child 18 and under that is not of school age may pre-order meals for pick up by submitting the following form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdADGQNbsN3SNxOr23avHOMyeoo-sw39h5Nq6C0bTgL57MERg/viewform?usp=sf_link
RSU 57 highly recommends that all households continue to submit free and reduced applications for meal price benefits if you feel you may qualify. Each school district receives federal and state funding based on the percentage of students that are approved for free or reduced meal prices. Under counting those eligible for this program could harm many educational programs we rely on to serve our students. Regardless of whether your student chooses to receive school meals or not, it is critical that we properly account for all who are eligible.

Fall Sports begin next week
Good evening,
As I am sure you are aware York County’s color designation was changed to Green today. We are beginning fall sports practices next week. Cross Country will begin Monday with the other programs to begin Tuesday. For teams starting on Tuesday myself or the coaches will be reaching out for team player and parent organizational meetings to be help Monday evening. This will cover logistics for the following day. We do encourage those who can dress for practice to do so.
All players must be registered through REVTRAK to participate. We have re-opened REVTRAK and it is open now. Also we have called all who registered and did not have a current physical. Those must be on file in order to begin. Please send that information to Nancy Sobanik at nancysobanik@rsu57.org.

THURSDAY 10-29- Lifetouch Student Picture Day MHS
Good Morning,
Please find the NEW AND UPDATED flyer for MHS Student Pictures, which will be done by Lifetouch this year. The date is Thursday 10-29. The flyer previously distributed is no longer valid for this shoot. Pictures will be taken in the MHS Auditorium and students will be called down in small groups throughout the day.
Remote learners are invited to come to MHS at 2:30pm to the main office entrance. Lifetouch will stay until 4:30pm to photograph remote learners.
This year our Food Nutrition Department is adding student bar codes to their ID's to be used for the lunch program. For this reason and for updating Synergy we do ask all students to get their picture taken even if they do not plan to purchase pictures. New student ID's will be produced and these will be important to have as we move through the year.

MHS Campus Staff will still have their pictures taken this Friday. Staff pictures will be taken in the MHS Auditorium. Further details on staff photos will be coming shortly.
All students will need to be photographed on the make up date for administrative purposes, student ID's and this year students Meal bar codes will be added to their ID. It will be important to have everyone's picture done even if you are not ordering a package.
