It is with great excitement and pride that we announce the recipients of the Model Mustang Staff Award for the month of May (the FINAL one of the 23-24 school year)! This award is a tribute to those outstanding individuals who embody the qualities of a true “Model Mustang”; they inspire, lead, foster positivity, persevere, and excel in all that they do. Each Model Mustang was nominated by colleagues who took the time to acknowledge and celebrate their coworkers’ exceptional contributions to our district. Their hard work and commitment have not gone unnoticed, and we are grateful for the positive impact they have within RSU 57! This month's raffle winner is Kevin Harvey from Technology! "Kevin has really stepped up into his new role to lead his team and set an example for all staff in the department. He has been instrumental in numerous data application upgrades and enhancements, and stepped in to provide coverage for the Director when needed. His dedication to the district does not go unnoticed by Administration." Click the link below to view the full list of recipients. CONGRATULATIONS ALL! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DbR9K0V5Txp8zPvY9zmMg1WatjoJItho/view?usp=sharing

Meet Jack and Jack's Mom, played by 8th graders Leia New and Madison Redwine. Jack is a simple boy who loves his cow, Milky-White, puppeteered by 6th grader Julia Okerholm. Show dates are Friday, the 17th, and Saturday, the 18th, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, the 19th, at 2:00 p.m. Tickets on sale at the door. Cash sales only please.

The MMS Drama Club will present Into the Woods JR. on May 17th and 18th at 7:00 p.m. and on May 19th at 2:00 p.m.! With a book by James Lapine and music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, Into the Woods JR. is based on a Broadway production that won several Tony Awards, including Best Score, Best Book, and Best Actress in a Musical. The musical follows a Baker and his Wife who learn they've been cursed with childlessness by the Witch next door. The couple embarks on a quest – swindling, deceiving, and stealing from such already-victimized characters as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Jack (fresh off the beanstalk!) – to get the special objects required to break the spell. Tickets will be $9 at the door for adults, and $7 for students and seniors. For more information on the show please email christiandaigle@rsu57.org

Additionally, RSU 57’s “Backpack Program” makes food accessible to students at each school or on an as-needed basis through our . To schedule a time to “shop” the closet or to learn about additional supports, please contact Ms. Wakefield via email at meganwakefield@rsu57.org.
