Today, Massabesic Middle School hosted a 7th Grade Creative Climate Solutions Summit! Students worked collaboratively to find solutions to a pressing environmental challenge by creating innovative prototypes and informational posters. The event was attended by RSU 57 staff, students and community members, who eagerly engaged with each student group, sparking meaningful conversations about climate change solutions. Thank you to all who attended the Summit, and to our 7th grade science teachers, Emily Dodge, Michelle Turner, and Sophie Manning for making the event such a success!

Registration for Spring sports is open for both Massabesic Middle and Massabesic High School! As a reminder, there is a pre-season meeting for MHS athletes TONIGHT at 5pm in the MHS Auditorium. Parents with high schoolers have until March 22nd to register. MMS registration opened today and ends on March 28th. Login to your ParentVUE account to register your student for a Spring sport today!

Please join the RSU 57 School Board's Curriculum Committee for a Community Forum on Tuesday, April 9 from 7pm-8pm in the MHS East Training Center. A presentation will be given about Strategic Plan progress since its adoption 6 months ago, as well as what workforce skills are needed in today's job markets. Local community members and business leaders are welcome to join in on our discussion focused on preparing RSU 57 graduates after graduation! We hope to see you there.

Congratulations to the MMS Cheerleading Team who placed 3rd and received the "Best Facials" award at the 2024 Elite Challenge this weekend! With one athlete out due to injury, these super stars changed their routine during warm-ups and brought their all to the mat. Way to go, Mustangs!

During National School Social Work Week, we honor and celebrate the contributions of RSU 57 social workers in our school communities. These dedicated professionals serve as advocates, counselors and mentors who provide invaluable resources and supports to students which extend far beyond the classroom. For the second year in a row, Massabesic Middle School 8th Grader Julia Bryant has earned the top honor as the York County Spelling Bee Champion! Julia will compete at the Maine State Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 23 at Bowdoin College. Congratulations and good luck, Julia!
